Application Settings affect all DirectRoute route calculations and determine the behavior of some features in the program. These settings have a global effect on routes, maps and reports, and are likely to be changed infrequently.

Choose File > Preferences to open the dialog (below) and select any category to see all listed options for each one. 

Click Save Preferences on Close to save your edits.
