Daily Planner is built on the concept of creating a "fleet solution."
A fleet solution is a grouping of routes created together on a specific branch and date(s). The fleet solution contains the boundary file selected (if applicable), the dispatch date of the routes, statistics aggregated about those routes, and the truck profile selected when routes are built. For users of Appian DirectRoute, this is analogous to a single DirectRoute routing session.
For instance, if you use the Route Building Wizard to build routes on a new day, a fleet solution will be created as the routes are rendered. leet solutions cannot overlap, but you can check for a fleet solution by looking at the bottom bar of the application on a given branch and date. There you will see:
- The Truck Profile name, which is how you can identify the solution.
- Statistics for the solution, including the number of routes, stops, and orders, as well as time and cost estimates.
DRTrack does not interact with or have a concept of fleet solutions.
