Trimble Maps applications now include a closure along the stretch of Interstate 40 between eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina that was closed indefinitely due to damage from Hurricane Helene. As a result, routes that would normally take that section of I-40 should avoid it. Your application applies the closure if:
- You are using live traffic data. This includes CoPilot navigation, PC*Miler Web and Web Services, and Appian products that use PC*Miler Web Services.
- You are using Current map data in PC*Miler Web or Web Services with or without traffic.
- You have downloaded and installed the Base Data Update Override made available for locally installed (on premise) PC*Miler versions 37 and 38.
In the example route below, PC*Miler Web routes around the closed section of I-40. The blue line is the new route. Turn on Traffic Congestion to view the closure (black line along I-40) on the map.
