The Truck Profile page lets you manage truck profiles and records. From here, you can create trucks, truck profiles (groups of trucks), delete trucks, or upload a truck master file.

  1. Truck profile selection: At the top of the truck management table, you can select a truck profile from the dropdown menu.
  2. The More menu (three dots) at the top-right contains the following items:
    1. Add Truck Profile: Creates a new truck profile, which is a way to group trucks.
    2. Rename Selected Profile: Renames currently selected truck profile.
    3. Delete Selected Profile: Deletes the selected truck profile. NOTE: Deleting the truck profile will delete all of the truck records in that profile.
  3. Truck Record Grid: Trucks for the selected profile appear in this grid. You can add and remove columns to the table by clicking the layout button at the right of the headers. You can drag, reorder, and sort the headers similar to a spreadsheet in your favorite spreadsheet application.
  4. View Truck Record: To view the details of a truck record, click the record. This displays the Edit Truck window.

Create a Truck

  1. Select the Add Truck (+ button) at the top of the Truck Profiles page.
  2. The Create Truck dialog opens.
  3. Enter a Truck Name and choose from the drop-down whether to Create new from scratch or select an existing truck and use its values as the basis of a new truck.

Enter Truck Information

If you choose to create a truck from scratch, the Create Truck dialog opens. It has five required fields.

  1. Truck ID you entered when creating the truck.
  2. The truck’s City.
  3. Vehicle Profile, which tells the routing algorithm the type of vehicle being routed.
  4. Earliest Day, from the dispatch date, a vehicle may depart. The Date of Dispatch is DAY 1. A one (1) would be entered in this field if the trucks could leave on the first day of dispatch.
  5. Latest Day, a vehicle must return to the terminal. This day is calculated from the dispatch date. A one-day route may have an Earliest Day of 1, but also a Latest Day of 1, while a weekly route may have an Earliest Day and a Latest Day.

Search Truck Records

You can search through truck records for the currently selected profile by clicking the Magnifying Glass button at the top-right of the truck records page. All columns are searchable, and search results are filtered in the records table.

Upload a Truck Master

A truck master is a comma-separated values file (CSV), which contains all the necessary information. You can edit a CSV in your favorite spreadsheet application. To facilitate creating a truck master, you can download a template, open it in your favorite spreadsheet, and then add all relevant information.

  1. To upload a truck master, click the Import Trucks button. This opens the Import Trucks window.
  2. Once you have completed filling in the template, click Choose file to Upload to locate the file on your computer, or drag the file to the window. A preview of the uploaded file will be shown once the upload is complete.

To download a Truck Master, check the boxes next to each asset, then click the Export Trucks button. The file will download to your browser’s default location (usually your Downloads folder).
