When importing data into DRTrack from DirectRoute, there are several things to keep in mind:

  • Dummy/fake order data created in DRTrack will always be the source of truth when working with account masters.
  • If the data exists in a dummy/fake order but also exists in the master, both sets of data will be merged before creating the final order.
  • If the data does not exist in the dummy/fake order but does exist in the account master, the data from the master will be used to create the final order.

Presuming master routes are created in DirectRoute using the best practice where Sunday =1, exporting them from DirectRoute via DRTrack > Export Master Routes to DRTrack, existing fake/dummy order data will take precedence, and master data will fill in the gaps.

For this to work, the following data is required in the master:

  • Fixed Time
  • Time Speed Adjustment
  • User Fields

This data is merged with the following required data in the dummy/fake order:

  • Time window
  • Earliest date (Edate)
  • Latest date (Ldate)
  • Notes
